    6th Grade and Above

At Chickasaw United Methodist, we desire for every child to grow up to become a “full-time Christian”—a person who strives to live like Christ during every moment of life. Allow your children to be influenced by Godly role-models as we develop qualities of character within their young hearts. The book of Proverbs tells us: “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (22:6)

Excellent Pre-Teens Inviting Christ, or EPIC for short, is open to all 6th Grade students and above.

During this important "transitional" year, these young men and women will learn what it truly means to be a Christian through Sunday night Confirmation Classes from 5 pm - 6:30 pm.   At the end of the year, they will have the opportunity to become full members of the body of Christ at Chickasaw UMC.

There will be many special outings and events throughout the year just for EPIC.

High School

BLAST is an exciting ministry for young people in 9th Grade and above. We encourage teenagers to reach the potential God has given them to live their lives with faith in God and with concern for others. We provide a positive peer group to support, encourage, and pray for each other.
We desire to develop full-time followers of Jesus Christ. And by that we are seeking to lead our teens to not just live the Christian life while at church, but also to live out their faith on a day to day basis. Our goal is that our teens would follow Christ while alone in their room, with their friends, or while at work or school. We emphasize personal and spiritual growth through the instruction of the Word of God.
At BLAST, regular activities include Wednesday Bible studies at 6:00 pm, with a meal provided at 5:30 pm.  We also meet on Sundays at 10:15am, and for those student who attend the  9 am worship service may join in on our hang-out time at 11 am.  We also do outreach trips, activities, mission trips, and more. At Chickasaw UMC, teens also have regular opportunities to be involved in serving others through our church.
